To be honest I wasn't immediately drawn in by the cover. It seemed a little simple and didn't give much away about the contents of the book. But what hooked me was when I first started reading! Written in a very understanding way I was immediately drawn in by the family and the tragedy that they faced and how a family moves on and deals with the unanswered questions of losing someone in such a way. It seems the whole family are looking for ways to numb the pain and as a reader you just try and put yourself in their shoes and wonder how you'd deal with such sadness.
