Billy Brennan and his family have lost Micheal, their son, brother, to suicide. Nobody prepared and this tragedy not expected. Their lives are turned upside down, how would they carry on with their lives after so much has been ripped from it.
I really enjoyed the story and the way it was written really conveyed the emotions which in turn made me emotional whilst reading. It is harrowing to lose a loved one but to also know that you need to be strong and keep a normal routine for the sake of the rest of your family must be extremely difficult.
As much as the book was sad it also brushed upon the past before the tragedy struck, how life was and even after, how despite the grief, they could still be happy and create new memories.
Over all i enjoyed the book and feel others will enjoy it too as it gets across a strong message and talks about subjects that still face stigma but are still relevant.
