I've been very much looking forward to The Wicked King, after reading The Cruel Prince last year and discovering a new favourite author.

I'm pleased to see that TWK looks to be another absolutely blinding novel of trickery and deception. I especially love the re-introduction of the wordplay of the faeries -- I now read dialogue text so much closer in her novels but I don't always manage to spot the vagueries she seeds in.

I'm keen to follow Jude's growth as seneschal, her dangerous relationship with Cardan and to see if her and Taryn will ever reunited.

And that mention of her mother in chapter 2? More more more!

I also love the cover -- a drowning king perhaps? We will find out!!
