Jude despite being a mortal is now the power behind the throne as the seneschal to the Cardan, the Faerie King. Once told that power is easier to grasp than to retain she has found the last five months to have been a time of little sleep and many challenges as she tries to keep Cardan within her power and on the throne.
Now she has heard that Cardan's brother who is held in the Tower of Forgetting wishes to meet Cardan and make a deal for his release. What does this mean, and will it lead to both Cardan and Jude being banished from power and as a mortal to Jude's death?
