There are some really interesting relationships between Jude and the other characters in the book. It just means your constantly uncertain about who to trust and what everyone's motivations are. Considering the sample is only about 30 pages, it feels as though a lot has happened. O know Holly Black is an established writer, but the book does come across as well written with a coherent style and time which I appreciate. I have no idea how Jude is going to keep King Cardan under her control to protect her baby brother but I'm ready to find out
