Holly Black has long been the queen of all things fae. She writes characters who are morally ambiguous and all kinds of shades of grey and the second book in this world is no different. After finishing the first book I could not wait for the release of The Wicked King and it has been a long year of waiting but this small snippet of the book is enough to show me that the wait is well worth it. She has once more whet my appetite for her work and I will be the first in line to buy this on release day.
