The cover is gorgeous and I am quite curious as to how the setting will shift into the merfolk kingdom given the illustrations paired with the chapter openings. The book preview sees Jude standing at Cardan's side operating his reign as a puppet master while regarding a crowd of familiar faces that stir up memories of what she had given up to reach her pedestal. Her ambition is what drove her to reach her position but her arrogance came at the price of her personal relationships with others. The third book is titled Queen of Nothing so I would expect that the consequences of Jude's actions would catch up to her in the near future. I want to see the lengths she goes to to protect her legacy.
