The cover of this is awful and does nothing to endear the book to me...it looks like a generic historical melodrama which is a genre I steer well clear of....it conjures up thoughts of Outlander and other overblown female orientated fantasy which seems to be big at the moment.
Not for me at all...there are some amazing fantasy books out there and the opening to this doesn't suggest any threat to out do them.
