I love Holly Black and her writing style. As soon as I saw the front cover I just knew I had to read it! Even though you are always told "don't judge a book by its cover", everyone does it! The opening pages are amazing and draw you in right away and I always rely on the first few opening pages to whether I want to read the book or not. Even if you haven't read The Cruel Prince you can still understand what's going on in The Wicked King because its so cleverly worded and Holly does a great job with detail without throwing too much information at you at one time. Great first impression with this book and I am absolutely stoked for it coming out!
