First of all, I LOVE Jude. She is one of my favourite fictional female characters and she is the sole reason why I enjoyed this book so much. She is girl boss goals, and so badass. I loved her in the first book and I loved her even more in this one.
The plot is interesting and I personally liked it cause I love the politics but if you're looking more for romance there isn't that much.
It's a young adult book so it's a really easy read because of the simple and fast paced writing style. I think I read the whole book in one day!
Overall I really enjoyed this book, even more then I enjoyed The Cruel Prince. I think because the first book spends so much time world building and introducing the characters whereas in this one you already know it all so it focuses more on developing the plot. It's a great second book and the ending will make you want to pick up the third book straight away.
