firstly I must say you don't need to have read any other books in this series before this one - it picks up the characters and story very nicely from the beginning and is easy to follow. The Cruel Prince is the first in the series and this follow up The Wicked King does a sequel justice.

The story is dangerous , dark, mysterious and jaw dropping. How the author comes to tell such a tale is amazing and I would definately be wanting more of the same
