This second book was better than the first of the series, the ending hooking me completely and practically forcing me to buy the final book.

The tension is higher in this book, Jude more violent and their relationship, a thin line between hate and love. Aedan's true power is shown here for the first time, and how he saves Jude and has a plan of his own to solve the problem they face, shows how he is really more than just an angsty prince. He hated being King but he was really capable. And I loved how Jude had to face the same realisation at the same time as we did. It really captivated me and made it all the more real, the situation and her feelings at the time.

I can only say Taryn became impossibly more annoying, along with Locke. I simply wait for him to get what's really coming.

The ending shook me. There wasn t any hint of it and although (spoiler) their wedding seemed really rushed, I had no idea it would end like that. I can only hope it's resolved soon in the final book.
