This second book definitely lived up to the first. The world building of the new places that were introduced were on point. We also got to know the secondary characters more, which helped shape the world and give depth to the story. The relationship between Jude and Carden was the perfect love to hate that kept me wondering will they or won’t they. The twists of the story were ones that I never saw coming and were truly shocking, which is refreshing. This book is fast moving but in a good way, it constantly has you thinking how the hell is she going to get out of this sistuation, but she does it again and again.
