A MUST READ!! I love this series and The Cruel Prince is the book that got me back into reading after so long. The Wicked King is my favourite of the series by far!
Without spoilers, the plot does not disappoint and is full of more court drama, fantasy and deceit than the first book. After finishing this it's made me desperate to read the third book.
Its not possible to not fall in love with these characters, the dynamic relationship between Jude and Cardan has me hooked from the start of this book. I absolutely LOVE the love hate relationship created by Holly Black, its full of snarky remarks and twisted decisions. The development of these characters, especially Jude, is so different from other YA novels I have read.
Holly Black again has produced a book full of feisty and passionate fantasy and is definitely a YA fantasy novel you will keep as a favourite.
