Oh my gosh, this book is amazing! It gripped me and kept my interest throughout the entire story. I do not think there was a single point that I got bored of this book, and I was reading for hours at a time.
'The Wicked King' follows a few months on from 'The Cruel Prince'. Carden is High King of Faerieland, Oak is living with Vivi and Heather and Jude is Seneschal. As always, someone is plotting against Jude and traitors are present. This lead to a tense and gripping read, as you never know who she can trust.
All of the main characters in this book are unlikable and their actions are unforgiving. Everyone is spiteful and deceitful and I loved it. However, they are still varied in how they show this. Jude, as usual, resorts to murder while Carden is more manipulative. This was fun to read.
