Well it was worth the wait, and now begins the excuriating wait for the next book. I loved how easily the first book flowed into the second, perhaps even better than the first. I don't want to give any spoilers but I have to say Carden in particular is what makes this series amazing. I like the fact that neither of the main characters are people we would normally like: they're mean, they're ruthless, they're wicked, and yet we route for them all the same. The book kept me guessing, I couldn't put it down; I just powered on through so that I read it in almost one sitting. I highly recommend it and will not only be on high alert for any news of the next book, but I will be searching out other books written in the same world as this one by Holly Black. I have definitely discovered a new favourite author.
