In summary, I LOVED IT! I think the world and character building just develops impeccably throughout the book and the plot is just fantastic. I love Jude and cardan and their journey but also the other characters are so well incorporated into the book, you forget you’re reading. I think the Cruel Prince trilogy is a great series to introduce you into the fantasy and fae worlds as Black writes and explains things so well.
The only reason I didn’t give The Wicked King five stars is at some points it felt predictable, asif I already knew what would happen. However that was my only issue which I could barely class it as an issue as I think it made the book better!
I would definitely recommend this series to anyone and everyone, especially lovers of fantasy and strong female main characters. Though this book does have romance in it, don’t purchase it with a strong romance theme in mind!! But the romance in the book is a perfect amount so that it doesn’t distract from the plot!!
