The cover for this is absolutely stunning and looks gotheous next to book one! But that is just the start, because opening this is like opening up a gold mine.
It’s full of wonderful surprises, but they might be a bit sharp at times! As with book one, the story twists and turns as you get further into it, I adored returning to the characters and seeing where the Author took them. But much with the first, nothing happened as I expected it to!
So many times I gasped at how a situation turned out, how a Character reacted or responded. The story is wonderfully surprising, and perfectly shocking to keep you on the edge of your seat, and eagerly devouring page after page well into the early hours of the morning.
I loved seeing how the Characters I had come to love and hate equally stayed true to character. None of them are perfect, and at various points I really wanted to punch one of them in the face, but that's the beauty of this Author! Despite this being a Fantasy, the Characters are just so real it’s wonderfully ANNOYING! If I could reach into the book, I’m fairly sure I would be banging heads together 😂🙈
I intended to read a few chapters, and wound up devouring the entire book in one sitting, it’s just THAT good! So impatient for book three to come out, I can’t wait!!
