Oh my goodness- another incredible novel in the cruel prince series. The best part of these books is the world building- I feel I know Elfhame as well as Jude. the fresh approach to the fae is so refreshing, it's dangerous and closer to the traditional folk horror tales of faerie worlds than other YA books. Normally i don't care much for fictional politics but Holly Black will have you on the edge of your seat. And this is all without mentioning the heart attack that is Cardan.
Overall this book combines incredible world building and lore, strong female leads and tooth grinding tension to keep you hooked all the way through. Take it from me- you want to read this book.
