A great sequel to the cruel prince. This book had great plot twists and many twists and turns and a good cliff hanger. It kept me guessing constantly. I often wish I could be in a fantasy world and this series lets me experience that.While reading this book I got many different emotions and feelings I was always on the edge of my chair and completely binge read this whole series.We really get to see more of Jude and Cardan’s relationship and how they interact together. A bunch of enemies to lovers and some great knife to throat scenes. I love all the angst and the way the author showed their relationship progress. It was great to get to discover the different places in Elfame and visit some of them again.The ending was unexpected but hooked me onto the third and final book in the series The Queen of Nothing Can’t wait to read more by this author.
