I loved the first instalment of this series, The Cruel Prince, and am very keen to see where Jude's story may take her.

The Faerie Folk imagined by Holly Black are most certainly not the cute and cuddly kind, with smiling faces and fairy-dust, but this makes them all the more real and dangerous. These Immortal beings, driven by their desires, make them the creatures of nightmares.

Eventhough Jude has been raised among the Fae, she remains a human among them and her mortality makes her fragile. She must learn how to protect, not only herself, but Oak and his birthright, among a people that consider her beneath their notice, but her power lies in exploiting her human side, not being afraid of it. Her perceived weaknesses will become her strengths in the cruel world that has become her home.

Come on, Jude!
