After reading the first book, the cruel prince, I didn’t think the series could get better or top the ending of the first book. But ohhh was I wrong, the ending of the wicked king was even better having Jude exiled after marrying herself to Cardan. The world felt more alive in the second book than it did in the first. The characters aren’t school kids anymore with petty drama and now a big game is playing out.
I didn’t really like Judes twin sister Taryn in the first book and I like her even less in this one. After she marries Locke and than betrays Jude for their kinda dad it’s like a slap in the face. I had a feeling at some point she would betray Jude. But this feels even worst.
Having Locke try and kill Jude before the wedding felt a little force to me especially with Jude hiding the face that she was attacked.
I love Vivi and I hope heather comes back around and is in the next book.
