The wicked king is the perfect sequel to the cruel prince. I honestly wasn’t sure how reading the wicked king would go but I liked this one so much more than the first. I felt like there was a better plot in this book and I loved the way the characters and their relationships developed. The level of betrayal and trust in the was amazing and the plot that’s so hard to predict just deepened even more than before. The threats present in this book made it more intense and the stakes a lot higher. There was also a lot more sexual tension compared to the cruel prince which must much enjoyed. The ending, oh the ending had me dying. I didn’t see it coming at all and has really made me want to go out and buy the third book to see how it all pans out. We got not one, but two different plot twists that lead so perfectly onto the third book that you just have to pick it up. Overall I really enjoyed this book.
