Book two of The Folk of the Air series did NOT disappoint! The Cruel Prince was good, and The Wicked King was equally as capturing.
We follow Jude in the wake of her gaining more power than she’s ever had before, through the unconventional rule of The High King of Faerie. If you enjoyed the ups and downs of the first book, you’ll continue to enjoy the tension and chemistry in the second. We are thrown into almost a ‘will they, won’t they’ scenario, and I still don’t know which way I want it to go!
Holly Black has done a fantastic job of keeping the reader entranced until the very end. I am particularly wanting MORE from the next book RIGHT AWAY! I cannot wait to dive right back into the world of Jude and Cardan and see where we are heading next.
