This book like the first did not disappoint. I love the character of Jude, I find her strong and independent. The world the is continuously being build on from the first book is really interesting and I love the idea of our reality and the far world intersecting.
The story is well written and I like that it is not simply a romance novel by any means. This is a true enemies to lovers trope of ever I saw one. Carden is an interesting character and I enjoyed watching his character development over this book.
I would say that while I enjoyed the book and it definitely deserves four stars for the world building, the twists and turns. It is not revolutionary in its world building but the author does very well in creating a world that I want to fall right into and spend hours on end reading the series. You have nothing to lose from reading this book and I would recommend it!
