I am able to say this is certainly a beautiful young adult book which you are able to see from just the blurb itself. The way Holly Black uses her words to describe emotions in the book is beautiful and painfully so, showcasing the complexity of each character which is so amazing to see. Thus, allowing the reader to become so emotionally invested into each of them, becoming almost bewitching. I hope to see further where Jude takes herself in the whole series.
Although I'm new to this fandom, I can already tell this is an incredible take into the fantasy genre and completely justifies why this is a bestselling series. A book which incredibly encapsulates both aggregated relationships and overwhelming emotions is exactly what appeals to me and many others. Especially Jude's relationship with herself which, to me, is the most important aspect of the series. She's a woman who is driven with the want to prove herself where even her stubbornness becomes endearing and is just a protagonist that you want the absolute best for.
