After already having read the cruel prince (the first book of the folk of the air series), I am excited to read the second. Jude and Cardan seem to have some sort of rift between them, which should be expected after the protagonist’s unexpected betrayal.
Finding out more about Jude’s life before the Cruel Prince in the prologue was very interesting. I loved seeing how her and Taryn were before her and Taryn fell out. Seeing Locke in chapter one felt strange, I can tell that Jude also found it peculiar and annoying that he wished to become Cardan’s Master of Revels.
Jude is still keeping secrets from Cardan. She visited his brother without any word to the young king, even though Balekin expected his brother.
I love seeing that Jude is already scheming and plotting and being the Jude I love. I also enjoy seeing the tension between Jude and Cardan because of the one year contract.
In short, I absolutely loved the cruel prince and cannot wait to read the wicked king.
