I finished this 3 days ago and I just.. can't?? I can't deal with the ending, I can't patiently wait for the next book,, I just can't.
So I actually preferred the first book over this one, which does kinda feel like an unpopular opinion, but I just felt as though the beginning wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be considering all of the drama surrounding the end of the cruel prince - I just hoped it had picked up with the same sort of pace and excitement.
I did still really love this and the plot started to interest me a bit further into the book, and I definitely started to love Jude even more!! She's just so headstrong and fierce, whilst still acknowledging her fears and that she is allowed to be scared. I also really started to love Cardan and now I have no idea how to feel and am just so torn between loving him and hating him lol
There are characters, however, who I fully hate and have no issue deciding whether or not they can choke -- Taryn and Locke, I'm done with your shit, you're both awful and can rot
"I wasn't sure if I wanted you or if I wanted you gone from my sight so that I would stop feeling as I did, which made me even more unkind!
"Sweet Jude. You are my dearest punishment"
hOW did we get shit like that.. and then that ending?? I guess the name of the book began to make sense. I cannot wait for book 3 and it better be just as amazing as I hope it will be!!
