After reading the first book in this trilogy, I definitely had high hopes for the second one. And this book completely and utterly lived up to those expectations and again turned out to be another 5 star read for me. I’m pretty sure this book would make sense by itself without reading the first one- which is always a positive- but I recommend reading the first book first to enhance the experience. I really enjoyed this book as it continued the thread of plot twists laced throughout the chapters and had my jaw dropping and craving every turn of the page. I even had myself covering up the bottoms of each page so I wouldn’t slip ahead and spoil it for myself! Magical. It was an absolutely magical experience to unwind and read this book and again, forget I was reading. When a book takes you on a journey that you become a part of, and the words on the pages then into part of you, you know the book is worth the read.
