If it’s as good as the first one, I’ll be impressed
Wow, a marvellous book opening. After just finishing the first book, I’m hungry for more of Jude’s adventures.
Black writes with meticulous detail, bringing the world of the Fae to life in a dazzle of colour, sights and smells. The storyline never dulls and I enjoy the unpredictability of the plot through our unreliable narrator .
I hope that this novel continues its captivating writing and that it will retain everything that made the first book fantastic to read.
This genre is particularly crowded in the market at the moment (e.g. this one reminded me a little of Red Queen) but I feel that this one defiantly does enough to stand out against the others .
