I loved how holly black described all the characters in detail, her character development is amazing. I’m this book you really get to see Prince Cardan’s personality and Jude’s fears being overcome. You get to see how Madoc’s opinions and intentions change and you see the true side of him. In my opinion this book was better than the first one (the cruel prince) because you actually get to see cardan and Jude’s relationship develop and see the two open up to each other about their pasts. And you feel really attached to the characters once Holly Black describes them. As I mentioned before her character development is quite amazing, you feel like your in the story and you know them in real life if you get what I mean? and the more you read this book the more you grown to love the characters and I think that’s why I really enjoyed this book a lot. MAKE SURE TO READ!
