just finished reading !!! omg I can't wait to continue to the third book:)
"The Wicked King" is the second book in the folk of air series by Holly Black, and is a YA fantasy novel which followes the story of Jude, a mortal in faerie. While cardan seems to be the high king, jude is the one pulling his strings. As jude navigates politics and also tries to understand what she feels for cardan, many dangers await for her as the High king's seneschal.
this book made me experience enemies to some sort of lovers on a whole differnet level. I warn you, this is not the regular enemies to lovers. The tension between jude and cardan throughout the book had me on my toes. The plot has many twists and turns and i didn't find myself bored AT ALL. i must warn, for some, it can be a bit boring (first 30 pages ish) but it gets more tangled and complicated and hard to stop reading - so don't give up yet!
In short, i have been surprised by such a well done sequel that made me fall for almost each and every character of this book, made my hard race with each interaction between Jude and Cardan, and left me open mouthed in the ending.
