I read this book in one day. One day. I haven't been able to finish a book in a day, never mind one as long as this one, in years.
That's how good it was. I wasn't overly keen on the first book in this series, but perhaps that was when I was going through a particularly bad patch with readers block - I can't remember.
But this book was incredible. The pacing was perfect, it never got boring, the writing was never bad. I was gripped right from the beginning to the end, always wanting to know what was going to happen next. I flew through it, completely engrossed in the magical realm that Black created through her fabulous writing.
All I can say is that I cannot WAIT for the next book. I can see why this series is so popular, and I think I might need to go back and read the first one again! 5 stars.
