OH MY GOD, is all I can say. This book ripped my heart out and tortured it for 3 days straight.
This book redeemed The Cruel Prince because I wasn't a fan of Jude or cardans character interactions but damn did holly black pull it out the bag. Jude and cardans interactions improve tenfold and you see it developing as it would naturally. You see betrayal, Jude be coming more manipulative but also more vulnerable. And in the end her power leads to her downfall. The ending literally had be choking back tears and wanting to lob something across my room because of holly blacks cruelty. Suffice to say that I can not wait for the third and final installment in this story. I have no doubts that book will equally tear me to pieces.
