The TENSION in this book is unreal, jesus. king Cardan, okay kinda hot not even gonna lie. Jude and Cardan's relationship is weird but surprisingly enjoyable right now? The whole puppet puppeteer thing was unexpected, but I can’t say I dislike it.
Taryn continues to annoy me and I don’t really understand why Jude forgave her. I guess them being allies isn’t the worst thing, Jude hardly needs more enemies but still. As much as I find the romantic aspects of the book interesting, I find myself even more interested in the family dynamics. Honestly, what is even going on half of the time? Casual murder, WHAT?!?
What I really loved about this book was how I couldn’t predict anything what so ever. I would just sit for hours not being able to put it down, desperate to know what happens next.
Liked it even better than the first!
