This book is absolutely amazing! The characters are so intriguing and likable. Jude and Carden have such a competitive relationship and you get to learn more about them and how they deal with everything in this book. The writing is very simple and easy to understand as it is in first person. The plot is so detailed and intricate! It is very obvious Holly Black put so much effort into writing the plot. The details of everything in Elfhame and the characters are so well written that it makes me feel like I am actually there with Jude and Carden. There is a HUGE plot twist at the end that left my mouth hanging open. I would have thrown the book across the room if I wasn’t scared of hurting it. It left me picking the last book up immediately and binge reading it. All in all, I highly recommend people to read it if they love high fantasy and romance, even if it isn’t steamy!
