This book was a perfect sequel to "The Cruel Prince". It was everything and more I wanted from a second book. I was scared for a while thinking that I wouldn't like it as much as I wanted to but my assumptions were fortunately proven wrong by Holly Black. I am so glad I read this series. I was a bit late to understand the hype around this series and didn't start it until this year. But now I can't stop raving about this series to everyone I meet.
It contained a royalty setting which is one of my most favorite tropes in YA books and the fact that the trope was crafted and resolved so beautifully made me love this trope even more.
I loved Cardan's character development throughout the two books and now I can't wait to read "The Queen of Nothing"
