I absolutely loved this book. After reading the first book in the series, Cruel Prince, I was really excited for the second book to be released and I was not at all disappointed. The plot and characters continued to progress. I loved Jude in the first book and I continued to love her in this book, she is a very strong female protagonist and a great all round character. In the first book I really wasn't sure on my thoughts about Cardan, as he can be seen as the villain of the first book. However, his character growth in this book can be seen, and I know love him as a character as well. Overall, I loved this book and I cannot wait for the next one in the series, I am very excited to see how Holly Black will tie up the story in the final book, and where the characters relationships will go, especially Cardan and Jude's. Very enjoyable read, one of my favorite series.
