this is a must read if you loved the first book in this series “the cruel prince”. I loved this world and was pleasantly surprised by the author Holly Black as I really couldn’t guess what the characters will be doing next. Jude is a morally grey character and it’s refreshing to see her strength and cunningness.
She and Cardan are terrible to each other, and yet on some level they’re almost like two sides of the same coin. I really enjoyed reading this book in the series as it gave me more moments of this intriguing couple and their “push and pull” chemistry. The ending of the book left me speechless for a second and then I went and bought the 3rd book so I can continue reading this refreshing story. I would definitely recommend it if you are into fantasy and romance. This book is refreshing, dark (but in a delicious way) and full of drama!!!!!!
