I am completely in love with this series. Everything about it is just so beautiful. The characters are so magical, the places are described so perfectly, that I can actually imagine myself there. Faerie is so different from other fictional worlds yet so similar.

I couldn’t stop reading. This book had captivated all my senses and I was on the edge of my seat all throughout the story.

”The three of you have one solution to every problem. Murder. Someone tries to betray the High King, murder. Someone gives you a harsh look, murder. Someone disrespects you, murder. Someone ruins your laundry, murder.”

I’m sorry but this was my favourite line in the whole book. Cardan has my whole heart. Actually, I think he has all the readers’ heart. How do you create a character so flawed and perfect? Does that even make sense? I’m pretty sure he’s going to start a World War 3 between all of us fighting for him.

This book just gave me all the more reason to loathe Taryn. I mean, the audacity she has. I’m going to burst just thinking about it. I love hating her so much.

I also love that we see Jude’s conflicting feelings towards Cardan and how she fights to keep them at bay. I need Cardan’s POV. I want to know what he’s thinking. Like, I know he loves her and all (it’s no secret), but why would he do whatever he did in the end? I NEED ANSWERS.

The amount of betrayals in this book made my head hurt. Poor Jude can’t trust anyone now. I’m excited to see how she survives in the mortal world. But at the same time I want her with Cardan so bad. Like stop hating each other for gods sake. YOU LOVE EACH OTHER.
