So, I wasn't really a big fan of the first book, but I decided to read this anyways, mostly because I was curious to see where this thing between Cardan and Jude goes.
Unfortunately, I liked this even less than The Cruel Prince.
First of all, the writing style just doesn't work for me. Personal preference I guess, but I just don't like it.
The plot...it's not exactly bad, but it's not all that interesting either.
As it was in The Cruel Prince, the romance between Jude and Cardan was the only thing I really liked in this book as well, but there wasn't enough of that, sadly. The focus was in other things that did not really interest me.
Jude as a main character isn't very likeable, to be honest, and I don't much like the other characters either.
