Holly black is an incredible writer. This is by favourite book of the series, the character development is incredible and I couldn’t put it down. I struggled getting into it at first but once I did I was absolutely hooked. I love Cardan he is a fantastic character and in my opinion the best in the series. One thing to bear in mind is sometimes the book does have periods where nothing much happens as it is building up for other events that will happen but do not let this deter you. If you are a fan of fantasy mixed with romance or a fan of Cassandra Clare I would recommend this book for you. I am also in love with the setting the world of the Fey is interesting and really hooks you in. Holly Black built a really clear and vivid picture of this world and the characters. But this book and the folk and air series if one of y favourites I love the story and the characters.
