This is a brilliant sequel to The Cruel Prince, continuing the story of Carden and Jude within the faerie world and following Judes path to protect her brother. The story is very well written with wonderfully descriptive chapters which transport you to the faerie world.
The enemies to lovers theme continues, with lots of twists and turns as well as deceit and manipulation intertwined throughout. I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading it as I had to know what happened next and found the main characters dynamic so interesting especially when you started learning more about Carden and seeing a different side to him which I loved!!!
The writing is very detailed and descriptive but remained very easy to read. There wasn’t any repetition and the story was easy to follow. It left you wanting to instantly know what happens next.
