It was a masterpiece. A great second book in the trilogy. The whole book was filled with lies and deception. Holly Black is a cruel author ending this book like that.
The beginning of the book about how Jude is coping with her new role commanding Cardan. Jude's character is amazing and how she has developed. Her narrative is so strong and how she believes that everything has to be okay and she shows that through her strength. She can be a unlikeable character whilst also being the easiest to show sympathy for which is why I think she is the most relatable.
Cardan. The things I could say about him. Well he really through in a curveball at the end. He showed that he was a formidable opponent and should never be underestimated.
The book as a whole was filled with excite and surprises I furtherly enjoy it and I cant wait to read the final of the trilogy. Five stars easy.
