This book left me in shock. The ending made me feel so betrayed and angry but in a good way. Beautifully written. Farie and human. Complex characters are the best. Jude is the bravest human to be going through all the trauma and still fighting everyday. She is smart and the true one that runs the kingdom. The puppet master who believes she is in control of her puppet buy little does she know her puppet has other ideas. Carden may seem like he don’t care about his kingdom yet has everything going to plan, though he may think. I love carden, he has a complex character and it unpredictable. Not knowing what he may do is his key to messing with our heads. I loved the drama and did not see the cliffhanger coming. This book is about trust. My fave part of this book was about how much they would risk and do to save one another. Not knowing who will betray you and who will try to harm Jude.
