I was feeling very hesitant because for the first two hundred pages of the book, I was reluctant to keep reading due to having a real lack of motivation to read this story. I wasn't interested and found it to be really slow.
However, once it hit the two hundredth page, everything changed and I was thoroughly gripped.
The relationship dynamics, plot twists and character develop of these final one hundred pages were extraordinary and something to be commended.
I have been a fan of Holly Black for about five years so it was bizarre to me that with both The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King, I was unable to find a real rhythm with my reading with these two novels until roughly the half way point.
