The series that got me out of a reading slump
All I can really say is WOW. This book is so beautifully crafted and the world-building is, quite literally, out of this world. I was in a reading slump and couldn't pick up any books for months to save my life, but The Folk of the Air series threw me back into the literary world and I'm so grateful. Holly Black is an outstanding author and her characters are depicted so well, it is as if they are actual people (or Fae, for the matter). One thing I would've loved to see however was a bit more diversity, but ultimately that didn't take away from the story in my opinion. If you're looking for a quick, fun read, this is the book for you! I finished the entire series in a little over a week.
Lastly, I want to emphasize how grateful I am that I was pulled out of my reading slump by this series. Since reading the last book, I've read so many other incredible authors that I wouldn't have found out about otherwise. Holly, you're a literary genius.
