Did I enjoy this book? Fairly, yes. Does various parts in this book begin to become problematic? Also yes. This book was much more heavily focused on Politics than The Cruel Prince which is probably the most defining part of the entire series

As we continue reading about Jude and Cardan, we once again see them battle between their hatred for each other and their desire. This dynamic really fails to develop more from when we left off from the first book. Their relationship does begin to become toxic which is never really addressed, it's just excused from various factors from either parties. That being said, I thought the plot twists were incredibly well done, particularly the one at the end of this book which had be very audibly gasping and wanting to through the book through the room

It's also worth noting that this book falls into the trap that most book 2 in a Trilogy tends to fall into. It definitely became a filler leading up to the final book so it was only really necessary for the build up for Queen Of Nothing
