The wicked king, is the sequel to Cruel Prince. I read the first of the series when it had first became popular and instantly fell in love with Holly Black's unique and captivating methods of writing. She told a story like I have never read before, I went into this story blindfolded, clueless as to who the main character was, what the synopsis was. When I read cruel Prince my heart was snatched from me and shattered into a million pieces and now, wicked king has slowly started to glue it back together. I think that Jude is a very strong and brave character, fearless with plenty of fears because to be fearless doesn't mean to be unafraid.
The story has so many twists and turns that are unexpected and a lot of people don't like this but I enjoyed it so much. I think Holly Black is an amazing author and I'm not surprised this book is doing so well.
