I am really enjoying Holly Blacks style of writing, her world building is just amazing. I really enjoyed the wicked King, throughout the whole book I was left guessing. When I thought I knew what was going to happen I was proved completely wrong I found the plot to be just so unexpected leaving me so excited to continue on.
It was interesting to see how Jude managed to overcome challenges through this book and when one was solved others would arise in their place.
I enjoyed the development of the relationship between cardan and Jude but not so much that it becomes the whole story line. I really did not expect the ending and was left so shocked. I really can’t wait to read the next book in the series “queen of nothing” I really want to see if they repair their relationship and how they manage to rule Elfhame. I’m so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
